Primary Election Results

As expected, turnout was light in the primary with very few races on the Democratic ballot and being an off-year election with the highest profile race on the Republican ticket being the 1st Congressional District.  It is interesting to note that statewide 6 sitting lawmakers lost in the Primary election.

Ada County results for REALTOR® endorsed candidates are as follows:

District 2 Commissioner, Rick Yzaguirre – won

District 3 Commissioner, Fred Tilman – lost

County Assessor, Robert McQuade – won

County Clerk, Chris Rich – won

Governor – Governor Butch Otter (R) – won

Lieutenant Governor – Lieutenant Governor Brad Little (R) – won

US Senator – Senator Mike Crapo (R) – won

US Representative, District 2 – Congressman Mike Simpson (R) – won

State Controller – Donna Jones (R) – won

District 14 Representative, Position B – Mayor Nate Mitchell (R) – lost

District 15 Representative, Position B – Representative Max Black (R) – won

District 18 Senator – Dean Sorensen (R) – lost

District 21 Senator – Senator Russ Fulcher (R) – won

District 21 Representatives, Position B – Representative Clifford (Cliff) Bayer (R) – won
