Primary Election Results

As expected, turnout was light in the primary with very few races on the Democratic ballot and being an off-year election with the highest profile race on the Republican ticket being the 1st Congressional District.  It is interesting to note that statewide 6 sitting lawmakers lost in the Primary election. HUD Announces 120-day Period of Restraint in Enforcement of New RESPA Rule

On Friday, November 13, 2009, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced a period of “restraint” in enforcing the new Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) rule, which will go into effect on January 1, 2010.
